Star Tee & Sparkle - Two Ways

LOOK 1:
Tip: Layer necklaces with a patriotic tank

LOOK 2:
Tip: Roll up sleeves on a boyfriend shirt for a feminine touch

We all love a little red, white, and blue. Sorry for the repeat blue background I couldn't resist the cliche color coordination :)

A GIRL AND HER PUP

CLOTHES:
MONROW teeFree People Shorts (more sizes here) / Report Boots (similar here)

ACCESSORIES:

Today I am missing my little man. We sent Mio to a training camp last night and I'm going a little crazy not having him home. Every morning he comes by my bed, wagging his tail, doing his cute little yawn waiting for me to pet him before he eats breakfast. If I'm working too much, he sits and barks at my feet until I put down my computer, give him a hug, and let him fall asleep on my lap. His ears are going kind of crazy lately. I guess you are supposed to tape them down to help them flop forward, but I like his unconventional looks, it gives that cute pouty face a little personality :)

These are the Shopbop shorts I was talking about in yesterday's post. I am in love with the frays on them. I've noticed my style has been a lot more basic lately. It's harder to layer in the summer when it's warm, so it's more about the classic everyday pieces. Hope you all are having a great week!

FOURTH OF JULY STYLE

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

I am totally that person who loves to deck out for holidays. Fourth of July is probably one of my favorite because anything goes, and it is so easy to find patriotic pieces. Who doesn't have at least one piece of red, white and blue, or stripes in their closet?

This year we are going up to our cabin in Montana to spend the fourth with my family so I wanted to go for a more laid back boat style. We keep it casual up their so cut offs and rompers are perfect for the holiday. I have always wanted to have some flag shorts so I finally got a pair this year. I can't wait to wear them! Have you guys started your shopping your Fourth of July outfit yet? What pieces have you found? Here are a few more of my favorite items:

MAXI ON THE RUN

CLOTHES:
Lulu's Maxi c/o / Linen Blazer (old similar here) / Fringe Sandals (old similar here)

ACCESSORIES:

Life has felt super hectic lately. Work, work, work. Maxi's are probably my favorite thing to wear while I'm on the go, breezy and comfortable. Hope you all have a great weekend!

CAMO BLEND

CLOTHES:
Theory Tee (also loving this) / Club Monaco Jacket (sold out similar here & here) / J Brand Skinnies (now on sale!) /  Christian Louboutin Heels

ACCESSORIES:
Karen Walker Sunglasses (similar here) / Celine Handbag (similar here) / Michael Kors Watch

Camo is one of my favorite patterns right now. It fits my edgy side, but it is so easy to dress up. Versatility is essential for me, I swear my fashion moods are bipolar. One day I'm glam, the next I'm urban, channeling my inner love for Rhianna. It's one of my favorite things about fashion, you can express your mood no matter what it may be.

Hope you all are having a great week! Thanks for reading :)

BLANCO

CLOTHES:
James Perse Blouse / AG Cut off Shorts / Kurt Geiger Heels
ACCESSORIES:

If you read my blog, you know I'm a sucker for the white on white combo. It's nothing new, but with summer heating up it was an excuse to pull out the shorts and replay the combo with summer pieces. Recently I got an email from a reader asking how to make short shorts look classy. My tip would be if you are showing a little more leg, go for a looser fit top or something with sleeves. It draws less attention to the shorts and makes it seem a little more classy. Have you guys found any other tricks with styling short shorts?
On a side note, I am so honored to be nominated as one of Utah's Style Icon's. It would mean so much to me if you could take a second and vote here. Thanks so much!

WRAPPED POPPY

Victoria Secret Maxi / MIA shoes (old similar herehere)
