Stripes & Sequins

Probably one of my favoritest things is finding deals! Last week I found this Old Navy button up for $5. This week I scored this Michael Kors sequin tank on major clearance for $25. I probably need to stop buying stripey things but they are so classic.

One reason I picked this button up is because the stripes run vertical so it adds some dimension being most of my stripe shirts run horizontal. In all reality you can't go wrong with stripes. (For more tips on layering stripes read here)

Collared shirts are a great way to add a pop of pattern to your outfit.

Pop of Pastel

Spring has been full of teases. Warm, then cold, then snow, then rain, then sun. On those chilly cold days, a pop of color is  a great way to bring a spring vibe into a layered outfit.

Oreo Mint

All my hopes and dreams came true, I FINALLY found a pair of mint denim! (Ok so not all my hopes and dreams, but as far as Spring "must haves" these were at the top of my list.

Gimme that "C"

Gimme some chucks, coral, and comfort and I'm a happy lady!

Some days my legs just want to be free! I get tired of denim but still want something casual. Tennies are a great way to dress down a skirt. Personally I love chucks and vanns but do whatever fits your style.

Tank: Target
Sweater: J.Crew
Skirt: F21
Shoes: Converse here
Scarf: Banana Republic
Necklace: J.Crew

This coral skirt was a happy surprise. I went to F21 to return a dress and I was one day past there stupid exchange policy so the lady wouldn't give me store credit she would only let me exchange it (why that's any different than store credit I still don't understand) anyways, I didn't have the time to go look for more stuff so I just grabbed the closest thing to the check out and it happened to fit and be something I liked! Love when that happens.

Bringing Red into Spring

Red pants were my obsession this fall/winter. Recently, I have been kind of over them because I had paired them with so many darks and neutrals. (Basically I'm in love with all things bright and colorful right now) Then I had one of those "AHA" moments where colors just randomly click in my head, realizing if I just paired them with something bright it could change the whole look.

Spring Color

Monochromatic color schemes are everywhere right now!  I have always color sorted my closet so it makes this trend super easy to pull together. If your closet isn't super organized I would really encourage you all to ORGANIZE. It is the key to putting outfits together. For me, I just decide what color I'm in the mood to wear and mix and match layers in that color category until I find something I like.
