Fuzzy Leopard

DETAILS:
Sweater / AG Jeans c/o (last seen here) / Theory Heels (old similar here) / Celine Bag / Sunglasses / Watch

Happy Halloween! I can't believe October is over. It always seems like the last three months of the year fly by faster than the rest, probably because there is so many fun events to look forward to October - December.

Are you guys dressing up? I love looking through Instagram and seeing everyone's costumes. Last year Cody and I dressed up as Batman and Cat woman. For the first time since we have been dating we haven't even thought of a costume yet! Life has been so hectic with the baby and work we haven't had time to think about costumes for anyone other than the kids and the dog. I'll have to say dressing Mio up is one of my new favorite things to do. He will wear anything! I think because he knows there is a good treat after so he will do anything for food.

Now on to fuzzy sweaters, you can never have too many soft sweaters! I have been eyeing this furry leopard number for weeks. I was surprised how small it runs though. I ordered a 6 because that was the only size they had left besides a 12 and I expected it to be pretty baggy. It wasn't at all. Maybe my belly is growing quicker than I think, but I could have easily gone with an 8 and been happy. They have restocked all the sizes so I would say order up at least 2-3 sizes if you want it oversized :)

Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Stripes & Plaid

DETAILS:
Crop Sweater (similar here) / Plaid Skirt / Stripe Coat (on sale!) / Nude Heels (old similar here)/ Belt (old similar here) / Celine Bag (similar here) / Bracelet / Scarf

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend.  I know I mentioned it before but I have really been drawn to plaid recently. Something about the elegant, timeless pieces of checks has caught my eye.  I got my hair colored this weekend. I had been planning on going dark for winter, but last minute decided I wanted to add some color, and went back to my melt/ombre look again.

Who else is obsessing over fall? I can't get enough. Everyday I find myself taking another picture of the gorgeous leaves and trees. You probably notice the instagram overload. Oops! But seriously, if you haven't been to Utah in the Fall it's a must see. Yesterday when we were out doing pictures I stopped and took like 20 pictures of this strangers house. It looked straight out of a magazine, and no picture could do it justice. They had every color tree changing - greens, yellows, reds, orange. So bright and colorful. Underneath one of the trees was this old wooden bench surrounded by fallen leaves. I was half tempted to sit on it, but I felt like it was a someone's personal memento. One of those things better left untouched.

PUPPY PROBLEMS

DETAILS:

Hope you all are having a great weekend! I'm throwing out a weekend post because I forgot to publish this one yesterday.
Pregnant Brain!

So last Christmas Cody bought me this grey boyfriend sweater and it was one of my favorite oversized knits. I love when he picks clothes out for me, they always end up being my favorite items. Anyways, about a week and half ago Mio got snipped and has been stuck wearing one of those cones so he doesn't lick his stitches. He has been a complete hellion! He either A- mopes around the house or B-gets into things he knows he's not supposed to. So Monday night I'm sitting blogging on the couch and I notice he's laying really weird and his stomach is all bloated. Immediately I knew he ate something! I went into my room and found my favorite sweater now sleeveless with only half the body left. No pieces to be found anywhere, he literally ate it! Poor little guy was hurting until he was able to "digest" it out.
This is my first puppy, so I never knew dogs literally ate clothes or shoes, I always thought that was just a joke!

DIY Glitter Pumpkins

Fall is one of my favorite season's not only because of all the beautiful scenery but I love decorating for the holidays. Today I have teamed up with Lulu's for their Something Wicked Blog Week to share with you my DIY Glitter Pumpkin. The glitter pumpkins are great for Halloween or Thanksgiving, so if you already have your decor for Halloween here is an early idea for Thanksgiving.
This is a super easy craft,  just be ready for a glitter party :)

MATERIALS:
Pumpkins
Modge Podge
Foam Brush
Glitter
Tape
Paper Plates

STEP 1:
Clean and dry the pumpkins

STEP 2:
Tape design on pumpkins
I chose to do a dip dye look for this set. I have also done a chevron print which is cute, but the dips are my favorite. For the dip dye look, just wrap tape around the pumpkin so you have a clean crisp line.
STEP 3:
Paint a thick layer of modge podge on the sections you want glitter.
I have found foam brushes work the best and they are the least expensive, but any brush works.

STEP 4:
Generously sprinkle the glitter onto the modge podge.
I like to put a paper plate under the pumpkin as I'm sprinkling so it's easier to pour the excess glitter back in the container after (it also helps with the mess). You want to dump the glitter on pretty thick, a lot of it sprinkles off at first.
STEP 5:
Shake off any excess glitter and touch up any spots you missed.

STEP 6:
Let your pumpkin completely dry.

STEP 7:
Paint a top coat of modge podge on your dry pumpkin to help seal the glitter.
This will help the the excess glitter from falling everywhere. They also have a spray modge podge that works to seal it and is a little less messy, but I just use the same one I applied to the pumpkin.

STEP 8:
TADA! Your done!

Kelly Wynne Giveaway

Today I am excited to team up with one of my new favorite hand bag lines Kelly Wynne. Through this process I have got the opportunity to know Kelly and she is one of the sweetest ladies. Her unique collection of bags are hand cut and sewn in the USA. They are made with the finest printed suede and leather, which makes the bags super soft. My favorite part of her collection is how Kelly chooses the name for the bags. Each piece is named after a celebratory event in her life: "Cheers to Me Crossbody", "I Duffle Dare You", "Cloud 9 Clutch", "Paint the Town Tote", and "Mingle Mingle Mini".

Today Kelly is giving away one of my favorite bag from her collection the Mingle Mingle Mini ($310 value). Follow the Rafflecopter links below to enter.
Good Luck!

The last couple days I have been catching up on all my shows as I try to fight this crazy cold. The first series Cody and I started watching together when we were dating was Glee. I am so envious of people who have a natural gift for singing. My voice on the other hand not so great. So I was immediately attached to Lea Michele's character Rachel. Every time she sings I get goose bumps. We used to blare the sound track to season one in our old apartment and dance and clean. Anyways, we kind of stopped watching the recent seasons when they added all the new characters, but I wanted to see the Cory Monteith tribute because Finn had been one of my favorites. Have you guys seen it yet? Wow, I don't know if my emotions are spiked from being pregnant but I cried through the whole thing. Needless to say it was really well put together and if you haven't seen it and need a good cry it's a tear jerker.

Black & Grey

Hey hey! Hope you all had a good weekend! We were so lazy this weekend. Cody and I were both nursing colds so we didn't get out of our pj's all weekend. Sometimes it's nice being sick because it forces you to relax and be lazy.

Lately I have really been into the classic look of neutral colors. I find myself reaching for black, grey, and white tones as I search through my closet figuring out what to wear. A couple years ago when I was living in Italy I got like five pairs of these cotton Hue tights. They are thicker and a little more casual looking than a classic black stocking, they've become my all time favorite tight.

KNEE HIGH

ASOS Leather Top (similar here & here) / Joe's Leather Coated Jeans / Suede Knee High Boots / Chanel Sunglasses / Kelly Wynne Bag c/o / Michael Kors Chain Watch

Happy Thursday! This week we have been setting the house up getting ready for Halloween. I'm talking crafting 3 days in a row. The kids just get so excited for any holiday! I have always loved art, and used craft and paint monthly, but the last year or so I have let a lot of the little things slip that used to be important to me. It's funny how being pregnant has really helped me align those things back in order, even something as basic as enjoying my hobbies.

Part of the holiday set up included some dejunking in my home office. I found this leather ASOS top I had actually planned on returning, but forgot about it and missed the cut off date. I tried it on again and am glad this one didn't make it back to the store, but really the thing I can't get enough of is these black knee high boots. I think they are my favorite buy so far this Fall!

Little Red Dress

* Photos by Chantel Marie Photography
BCBG Dress via HauteLook c/o / Alexander Wang Boots / ILY Earrings / Chanel Sunglasses (similar here)

I'd say a little red dress is about as much of a staple as the LBD, and for some reason I didn't have a basic red dress, so I was glad to add this number to my closet.

One of my friends recently introduced me to the Nordstrom-owned deal site HauteLook. The site has been around a couple years, I don't know how I was missing out on this hidden treasure. Basically it features all their great brands at discounts up to 75% off. New sales events are added daily at 8am so I always hurry and check the sales when I wake up so I catch things before they sell out. You can sign up here to get the alerts so you don't miss the events.

Right now they have some really cute Jbrand pants and some great designer prints for the home over half off.  Below are a few more of my HauteLook favorites from apparel to home decor.

Oversized Knits

Monrow Pocket Tee / ASbyDF Sweater c/o / Paige Denim / Nordstrom Boots (old similar here &  here) / Celine Luggage Tote (budget friendly here) / Chanel Sunglasses

Happy Monday! We had our first snow fall this weekend. I'm loving the cool weather but not quite ready for snow :)

Oversized sweaters and boots are my favorite fall pieces. Half of my jeans don't button anymore so I have been trying to hide my un-bottoned jeans with loose tee's and oversized sweaters. 90% of the time I am in heels, but since I've been pregnant my feet get tired a lot quicker than usual. This weekend I found myself drawing more towards my flat over the knee boots over my heels. Even when I'm nine months pregnant I don't think I'll be able to completely give up the heels but I think I might have to invest in a few more flats.

Christine
