Black and white, it's the classic combo I can't get enough of. I love taking basic outfits and pairing them with bold statement jewelry to accent the simplicity. I would be lying if I didn't tell you my pants were unzipped for these pictures though. No not by accident, I just can't find maternity pants I like. Does anyone have suggestions?? I have resorted to the rubber band trick and layering long t-shirts to hide my McGiver attempt at keeping my pants buttoned, but I'm in some desperate need of some new pants!

KNEE HIGH

Happy Thursday! This week we have been setting the house up getting ready for Halloween. I'm talking crafting 3 days in a row. The kids just get so excited for any holiday! I have always loved art, and used craft and paint monthly, but the last year or so I have let a lot of the little things slip that used to be important to me. It's funny how being pregnant has really helped me align those things back in order, even something as basic as enjoying my hobbies.

Part of the holiday set up included some dejunking in my home office. I found this leather ASOS top I had actually planned on returning, but forgot about it and missed the cut off date. I tried it on again and am glad this one didn't make it back to the store, but really the thing I can't get enough of is these black knee high boots. I think they are my favorite buy so far this Fall!

Fall Color Crush: Cobalt

Cobalt blue is one of Fall's hot color trends for 2013. This icey blue tone looks great with black, navy, gem hues, or paired with other bright colors. What Fall colors are you excited about?

Fashion Week Day 1

I'm back! It has been a fun couple days in NYC and I'm finally sitting down to take a few minutes to share the looks. We caught the red eye last Wednesday and I literally didn't sleep for 36 hours. I was a bit tired to say the least.

 The first day I was visiting showrooms and going to meetings for ILY so I wore a more basic look. Nichole Miller was for sure a highlight. We were able to go back in their studio and see the process of how the pieces are made. It was so incredible.

The days have started cooling off and I couldn't be more excited. I'm so bored with summer clothes. This cozy shrug is one of my favorite pieces from ILY's fall line. Since fall isn't technically here I try to pair my falli-sh pieces with lighter hues so they transition easily between the seasons. What are you most excited to wear for fall?

Most of these pieces are old, staple items I've had for years. A basic color palette of blues, for a casual look. 

There's quiet, peaceful rainy days I enjoy, but cold rainy days after 90 degree days are not my favorite. So maybe my subconscious spoke to me when I got dressed this morning, because I was experiencing a little rain blues :)

I really don't wear flats that much unless they are sneakers or sandals, but when I saw these I immediately fell in love. You all know I am sucker for neon. I love how they add the little stripe of neon on the back so no matter what angle the shoes are seen, your sporting a pop of highlighter yellow.  Swoon!

One of my best friends came to visit this weekend. We had a such great weekend of shopping, facials and spa time, yummy food, and girl talk. She got me this amazing gorgeous bag. I'm obsessed! Now, if only she lived closer so we could share closets. I think we bought all of the same things :)
